We started near Geneva (leaving our car at the house of some friends). The route took us past the
Lac de Neuchâtel to the source of the Danube which we followed through Germany to Passau, then south following the Inn and Salzach rivers into Austria and then to Salzburg. From here we followed the Alpe Adria radweg to the Adriatic at Aquileia, then Venice, Padua, Vicenza, Verona, Lake Garda and north to tackle three Alpine passes - Fuorn, Albula and Furka. From here there was a long descent to Montreux and Lac Leman. Back to base after varied and really interesting trip.
